Redn3ck_0 - Jeff - Introduction

What’s up guys. I’m nut sure how to describe myself. I know a little bit about a lot of things (enough to make me dangerous, some would say). I cut my teeth on a Commodore 128, BASIC, a 1200 baud modem (if I remember correctly) and BBS. I guess my niche would be hardware, but anything & everything computer related interests me. I’m former Law Enforcement (16 years) and an Army Vet (4 years). I’m also a metalhead with experience on both sides of the coin.

I’m here to help and to learn. If you’re at all interested, you can find my geeky side at and my artistic asshole side here…

Thanks for joining up! Gonna be nice to have you around, and that old school experience

I love learning about the early era of technology and information security. I hope we get some of those war-torn stories of “back in my day.”

As my daughter would remind me, I’m old school too. I ran a BBS back in the day and I guess that’s where I got the bug for computer networks and how they work, how you can exploit them. I remember asking my parents for a second phone line so I could have two nodes for my BBS, I might as well have been asking for a new car at the time. I used Wildcat BBS software back then, some local sysop gave me a copy. Ah the good old days

Nice! Got a couple of old-schoolers hanging around!
